On October 3rd, 2021, over 700 dachshunds from around the UK descended on Southwold, Suffolk. The annual Southwold Sausage Walk raises money for the charity “Dedicated to Dachshunds with IVDD”.

IVDD is Intervertebral Disc Disease, affecting around 1 in 4 Dachshunds at some stage in their lives. The charity is a small organisation which loans strollers, wheels & other necessary equipment to affected dachshunds to aid in their recovery.

For one day a year, sausage dogs outnumber residents of this small seaside town!
